One of the classic tasks of the shaman is to journey into non-ordinary reality in order to obtain answers to questions, both at the request of others and for oneself. Participants on this weekend workshop will have the opportunity to engage in divination journeys for each other as well as for themselves and to gain experience in using various time-tested shamanic divination techniques. In the shamanic search to become persons of knowledge, they learn, as shamans have from time immemorial, how to converse with plant and animal spirits, how to learn about the use of quartz crystals, and how to seek and receive revelatory knowledge from visionary sources.
Prerequisite: The Way of the Shaman is a prerequisite for this workshop

Schedule: Saturday: 9.30 - 18.00 - Sunday: 9.30 - 17.00
Venue: Venue:Holly Lodge Community centre, 30 Makepeace Avenue (off Swain’s Way), London N6 6HL; nearest station: Archway, or Gospel Oak on the overground, then C11 bus.
What to bring: pen and paper – a cushion and a blanket – eye cover – rattle/drum – a stone no bigger than a grapefruit – a small quartz crystal, at least one inch long – 8 small objects you picked up outdoors, which you can hold in your cupped hands – wear comfortable clothes and warm socks. (Electronic recording, audio, video, photographic, and the use of computers are not permitted during the workshop.)
