Death, Dying, and Beyond: 30/10 - 01/11, 2026 (residential)

from £200.00

Michael Harner’s Shamanism, Death, Dying, and Beyond

Advanced Weekend Workshop

Dates: 30 October - 01 November, 2026

Shamanism, Death, Dying and Beyond opens a gentle and safe space to explore a new relationship with death and dying—an area often hidden or met with fear in our culture.

During the workshop, participants step into the cosmology of Non-Ordinary Reality, including the realms encountered after death. There is time to connect with ancestors and to learn practices that support those nearing the end of life.

We explore shamanic methods for accompanying the dying, including classic psychopomp work: guiding souls as they transition from the physical world into the unseen. These teachings offer insight for personal understanding as well as for supporting others facing terminal illness or loss.

Together we build practical skills for working with the after-death realms, tracking and assisting souls, helping with unfinished business, and learning what it means to escort a spirit safely across the threshold.

This workshop is open to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of death from a shamanic perspective, whether for personal growth or in service to others.

Prerequisite: Completion of The Way of the Shaman workshop

Sharing is an important aspect of being on a residential workshop. You’ll be sharing rooms and meals with others, as well as practising together in the workshop room. It’s often a surprise just how warm the atmosphere of communal life can become on retreat and how supportive it can be for individual practice.

Single Rooms
Almost all rooms are shared. If you have a health condition which means you need a single room, please contact us early and we’ll do what we can. Please bear in mind that this is often not possible to arrange.
